40 MILLION ENSLAVED
$150 BILLION ILLICIT PROFITS.

In the U.S., men, women, and children are sold in quantities second only to illegal drugs. They are sold for labor, and they are sold for sex.

Let that sink in for a minute.

According to the Polaris Project, human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery where people profit from the control and exploitation of others. As defined under U.S. federal law, victims of human trafficking include children involved in the sex trade, adults age 18 or over who are coerced or deceived into commercial sex acts, and anyone forced into different forms of “labor or services,” such as domestic workers held in a home, or farm-workers forced to labor against their will.

SLAVERY IS EVERYWHERE

  • Labor Slavery. About 50 percent (21 million) toil in forced labor slavery in industries where manual labor is needed—such as farming, ranching, logging, mining, fishing, and brick making—and in service industries working as dish washers, janitors, gardeners, and maids.

  • Sex Slavery. About 12.5 percent (4 million) are trapped in forced prostitution sex slavery.

  • Forced Marriage Slavery. About 37.5 percent (15 million) are trapped in forced marriages.

  • Child Slavery. About 25 percent of today’s slaves are children.

Slavery today is a hidden crime, making it harder for the public to see and for those in slavery to call out for help.

Slavery statistics come from the U.N. International Labor Organization, Walk Free and the International Organization for Migration. See Trafficking and Slavery Fact Sheet for details.

OUR RESPONSE

Human trafficking is garbage. It’s a cancer spawned from the bad intents of others for profit: an evil right under our noses that destroys lives, steals freedoms, and wrecks families. It’s a despicable violation of human rights. At HADJI Studios we are not afraid to use our platform and voice to speak out against modern day slavery. For every new video production, we pledge to donate 3% of the revenue towards the fight against human trafficking - bringing awareness to our communities so that those victimized can live and experience a better world around them.
