What up what up! I know I have not posted on the blog for about a month but if you have been following my other social media streams, this past month has been quite a roller coaster. But enough of that I'm here to talk about some new shit, which could potentially impact your life as you know it. So let's get to it.
For the sake of this discussion, I will refer to Bitcoin as BTC and cryptocurrency as crypto.
f you have not heard of BTC or CRYPTO, whether its through a family, friend, or your social media - you have been living under a rock, and there's nothing I can do about that. HOWEVER, it's those who have been living under a rock that this particular blog post is targeting.
You see, I've also been living under a rock as well for the past 8 months with reasons for which I am not going to disclose, BUT I will say that I too am a little late to this BTC party.
With that said, please let me disclaim that I am NOT equipped to give any advice, nor am I knowledgeable enough to break down and decode the technology behind crypto. I'm only about a month into this, and I too am learning along the way.
But that is NOT going to stop me from learning and sharing my experiences with you. So with that, I present to you "DECENTRALIZED, DISRUPTIVE, ELEGANT", a blog series dedicated to informing the uninformed about BTC and crypto - what it is, how it works, and its potential impact. I will cover a separate topic over the course of the next few weeks, which I hope will spark your curiosity, if not get you up to speed on the gaining momentum this new tech will offer.
I will do my best to provide FACTS about the technology - any political, social, economical opinions will be omitted. As far as credibility, I have an engineering degree, and have been in technology with my focus on linux engineering for over 14 years. That does not give me the keys to teach such a controversial topic like crypto, but I do feel my approach to understanding new technologies in the past will deliver a legit experience to those who have been living under that rock. I want to open your eyes.
Here's what to expect in the next few weeks:
- Introduction (done)
- What Bitcoin is and a brief history
- How it works + how money is made
- Bitcoin + Privacy
- How to get started - Coinbase + wallets explained
I'll also include plenty of links to reference material such as books, videos, and articles pertaining to the topics.
If you happen to come across some misinformation, or have any questions, drop a comment or shoot me an email and I would gladly get back to you. Again, I'm new to this shit, but I'll try my best to help find an answer.
"Is this Bitcoin shit for real?," an unnamed individual asked. We'll find out, so stay tuned!
